Car Accident Lawyers in Woodstock

Woodstock car accident cases have a recognizable shape, and it comes from the order in which the town was built. The arterial network — GA-92, GA-205, Towne Lake Parkway — was laid out for a smaller place, and I-575's ramps were threaded into it afterwards. Exit 8 is named after the development it serves rather than a pre-existing road, and exit 9 at Ridgewalk did not open until 2012.

The consequence is a very short transition distance. A driver leaves interstate traffic and reaches a signalized suburban intersection with retail entrances on it in a matter of seconds, and the collisions happen in that compression zone rather than out on the through lanes. It also means the two vehicles in a typical case are doing completely different things: one is still in interstate mode and one is in parking-lot mode.

Evidence here is better than average and it expires faster than average. The interchanges are surrounded by commercial premises with camera coverage, so there is usually footage of a Woodstock collision somewhere — on a thirty-day loop. Cases are filed at the Cherokee County Justice Center in Canton, eleven miles further up I-575, where Superior and State Court share a building. Getting from our office to a Woodstock scene takes about seventeen minutes.

How we handle car accidents

Most car accident cases are lost in the first three weeks, before anyone talks to a lawyer. A recorded statement gets taken. A gap opens in treatment. A property-damage check gets cashed with language on the back of it. None of that is dramatic and all of it is expensive. We take these cases early, deal with the adjuster ourselves, and build a file that reflects what actually happened to you rather than what fits the insurer's software.
